Free Talks [chapter 7] So (so?) "Rurouni Kenshin" will have a CD Book. I bet all of you are surprised, but I won't hide it, I'm also surprised and I can't believe it yet. Who would guess that just a half a year would be enough to get Kenshin released in a different media... anyway, I owe all this to your support. I really thank you. [chapter 9] - The people who will be the voice actors in Rurouni Kenshin are: Himura Kenshin: Ogata Emi Kamiya Kaoru: Sakurai Tomo Myoujin Yahiko: Takayama Minami - This time, Sanosuke won't be making an appearance, since the book is based on the first four episodes...I'm sorry, Sanosuke fans. But if this CD Book gets a good repercussion, there may be a second Book, so please give it a try. (seriously...) - I wasn't envolved in the choice of the voice actors, but IMHO it's a very good one. [chapter 10] Ogata-san is such a great voice actress that even I, who likes anime but knows nothing about voice actors, know her. Indeed, even in the fan letters I get, there's plenty of people who suggests Ogata to the Kenshin role (this shows quite clearly that there are many readers of Rurouni Kenshin and the other great manga. I don't know if I should be happy or not). I had thought about giving Kenshin a somewhat middle-aged voice, so I'm honored to have Ogata-san as Kenshin's voice actress. [chapter 11] - About Sakurai-san, I don't know much about her (I'm REALLY sorry... I'm such a despicable man). A friend of mine told me that she would be the voice actress for a heroin of a new program released this fall, so I went to check her. Yes, she's good. Her tone of voice, neither too high nor too low nor too coquettish, is really close to Kaoru's voice I'd imagined. And above all, her acting is great, so I think this is a "hit". - And about Takayama-san, I heard she's played the role of Kiki in the "Majo no Takuhaibin" (Kiki's Delivery Service)... (I'm sorry, I really know nothing about voice actors...) She has a good-spirited voice and so I think that fits perfectly to a still child Yahiko. [chapter 14] So, the CD Book "Rurouni Kenshin" has a good plot and good voice actresses, so I'm eager to see it. I regret not being able to go seeing the after recording process, given the lack of time due to my work. But is "Rurouni Kenshin" suitable? Isn't this nothing but a dream? Let's see the answer on December 9th! Please await for it! (I'm a little bit afraid...) [chapter 15] - And at last, a talk on a different subject. Again, I thank you for the fan letters. And these days, the male/female fan letter ratio has changed a bit. But nevertheless, the female readers are still the majority in a 2:5 ratio. I've been thinking about writing responses, but there are so many letters and on top of that the volume of work has increased so much that I haven't had a break in these weeks... I'm really, REALLY sorry!! - And there are some letters saying, "I've drawn a dojinshi, can I send it to you?". I don't mind it at all. I've already received 20 something dojinshis, and I have a positive point of view towards dojinshis, so please don't be afraid. So, let's meet again in the volume 3.
